One significant piece, studied properly.
For the single ring, brooch or watch that someone in the family already suspects is the one that matters.
- One piece, researched in full, in the same catalog form.
- Marks read and transcribed, era placed, construction tells named.
- Sold comparables with the date and the venue.
- The same three rungs of evidence, and the same admission of limits.
- The next physical step, with what it should cost.

If the box turns out to be entirely costume, we say so and we tell you a Dossier is not worth $249 on it. That answer is free.
