The Atlas
A page for each stamp you will find inside a band, on a clasp or behind a brooch. Free to read, no account, nothing asked of you. Written for someone emptying a house on a deadline, not for a collector with three weekends to spare.
Each entry says what the mark proves, what it merely indicates, and what a photograph categorically cannot settle. That last line is the one the free apps refuse to write.
Your mark is not here
We have not catalogued every mark yet. Send us a photograph of the one you are holding and we will — and we will tell you what we find. The Atlas grows by exactly this, one stranger’s stamp at a time.
Free, and nothing asked of you
The whole box laid out, then any stamps you can find. We read them and reply by hand with one line per piece — which are costume, and which are worth studying properly.
